  WTAMU faculty, staff, and students qualify to receive a free license of Office 365 for personal use.

  WT's new authentication procedure for unlocking your computer. FAQ's and information all in a click of a button.
- Open DNS

Statement

The West Texas A&M University information system obscures feedback of authentication information during the authentication process to protect the information from possible exploitation/use by unauthorized individuals.

Applicability

This Control applies to all West Texas A&M network information resources. The intended audience for this Control includes all information resource owners, custodians, and users of information resources.

Implementation

Information resource owners or custodians should ensure measures are in place to obscure feedback of authentication information by enacting at least the following:

Passwords are masked upon keyed entry
Failed login boxes do not indicate which part of the username/password combination is incorrect.
