AU-4 Audit Log Storage Capacity

Statement

West Texas A&M University information systems must allocate audit record storage capacity and configure auditing to reduce the likelihood of such capacity being exceeded.

Applicability

This Control applies to all West Texas A&M network information resources. The intended audience for this Control includes all information resource owners, custodians, and users of information resources.

Implementation

Information systems custodians shall ensure that logs are transmitted to a centralized log server or there is sufficient storage capacity on the local server or system to retain appropriate logs.
