Statement

WTAMU allows only authorized personnel to perform maintenance on the information system.

Applicability

This Control applies to all West Texas A&M network information resources. The intended audience for this Control includes all information resource owners, custodians, and users of information resources.

Implementation

It is the responsibility of the Information Resource owner or their designee to:

Establish a process for maintenance personnel authorization and maintains a list of authorized maintenance personnel
Ensures that non-escorted personnel performing maintenance on the information system have required access authorizations
Designate campus personnel with required access authorizations and technical competence to supervise the maintenance activities of personnel who do not possess the required access authorizations.
