Flexible Format
Our Texas MBA program is delivered 100% online in an asynchronous format, allowing students to complete coursework and engage with lectures, reading, and assignments on their own schedules. While the program offers flexibility for working professionals, each course includes clearly defined deadlines to keep you on track and moving steadily toward graduation.
Students determine their course load each semester, selecting from four available terms:
- Fall: Late August – November
- Spring: Mid-January – April
- Summer 1: June – Early July
- Summer 2: Mid-July – August
This flexible structure allows students to progress through the program at their own pace – accelerating during lighter work periods or slowing down when professional or personal demands increase.
Credit for Work Experience
West Texas A&M University offers Credit for Work Experience through a process we call Competency-Based Credit. If you've gained graduate-level knowledge through your professional experience you may be eligible to earn graduate credit by demonstrating mastery of specific course learning outcomes.

Degree Requirements
Requirements shown below are for the 2026-2027 catalog year.
Students seeking an MBA degree must first establish proficiency in Finance, Accounting, and Statistics. This proficiency may be established by courses taken in an undergraduate program, by completing advanced standing examinations in these areas, or by taking the following courses: ACCT 6300, CIDM 6300, FIN 6300.
These leveling courses will be built-in to the degree plan for students who need them. This means that the program could be 31 - 40 hours depending on leveling requirements.
