Pardon Our Noise
We wish to apologize for construction noise in the building. The library is currently undergoing renovations to increase the safety of the building. Please look at the Cornette Library Maintenance and Renovations Libguide for more information.
Door Closure Update: The South entrance of the library will temporarily be closed through Tuesday, 11/18/2025 due to some maintenance on the security gates. The East entrance into the library will be opened temporarily while the South entrance is closed. Once the repair work at the South entrance is completed, the South entrance will re-open and the East entrance will be closed again. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you.
Although no single location in the Cornette Library houses a specific collection for genealogical research, we do offer a variety of printed and online sources throughout the Library that may prove useful for finding information on your ancestors and the times and places in which they lived. The purpose of this guide is to acquaint you with these sources. The guide is arranged by area of the Library - Reference, Periodicals, Special Collections, Government Documents, and Loan (books). If you have questions, please stop by one of the help desks in the Library or call the Research & Access Desk at (806) 651-2215.
