The online Master of Science in Finance and Economics (MSFE) program at West Texas A&M University is consistently ranked as one of the top graduate programs for finance and economics. The MSFE graduate program was ranked #2 in The Financial Engineer’s 2019 Financial Economics Rankings of economics and finance graduate programs. The 2020 edition of U.S. News & World Report’s ranks our MSFE program at #29 in the nation for overall online graduate business programs and also at #13 in the nation for distinguished service to military veterans. These rankings look at many factors, including employment after graduation and starting salary.

The MSFE degree program can be taken completely online.

This program is designed for completion within a two year period. Students can choose to complete courses on campus, via online instruction, or through a hybrid approach.

Full Admission Requirements

  1. WTAMU Graduate School application
  2. Official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions sent to the Graduate School
  3. Undergraduate grade point average (GPA) ≥ 3.0
  4. GMAT Scores: Applicants with an undergraduate grade point average (GPA) ≥ 3.0 may submit an Electronic GMAT Score Waiver Request Form
  5. Three letters of recommendation (at least one letter must be a professional recommendation) utilizing the Recommendation Letter Form*
  6. Resume showing career progression*
  7. Statement of goals for pursuing the MSFE degree*
  8. Proficiency in foundation business courses
