Resume Review Help

The Office of Career and Professional Development is committed to help WTAMU students and alumni develop dynamic job search documents such as resumes and cover letters. It is always a good idea to have another set of eyes read through your application materials before you hit send. Oftentimes it is hard to find our own errors. Because of this, we offer several options for you to have your resume and other job search documents reviewed by our staff.

If you haven't been through our resume development resources, you'll want to start there! We also provide Mini Resume Workshops if you would like to have a staff member talk you through each section of the resume before you get started! Make an appointment on Handshake for a mini workshop.

Our staff will be available for 15-minute resume reviews in-person as well as via Zoom during Pop-In Resume Review days. No appointments are necessary on these days only. If you feel as though you will need more than 15 minutes with a staff member, we invite you to schedule a 30 minute appointment on a day that works best with your schedule.

Due to limited time and staffing, often we are not able to do a detailed resume review until you have been through our resume development workshop. The workshop is offered online, via video, and through our virtual webinar series. Find more information here. We encourage you to take time and attend a workshop or do the online version prior to meeting with us. Note that it is highly possible that the reviewer will recommend you attend a workshop if they determine that your resume needs a lot of work.
