MKT 5346 Graduate Learning Activities

(and other interesting 'tidbits' of information...)

Bookmark this page for future reference!!!

I wanted to create a page devoted to the needs (well, ok, at least some of them) of all students taking this course as either an elective or a required part of your Master's Degree.

Case studies. There are three case studies given below. As opposed to the the Extended Learning Activities of this course, you will instead (not in addition to) be responsible for a detailed, written summary for each of the Appendix Case Questions I provide listed in the links below. The integrative cases begin on page 492 of the Spiro text.

Submit your work via the drop boxes provided at the bottom of the lessons area of the site. Ensure that you are familiar with this process ahead of time to ensure that your analysis is uploaded to the proper WTClass dropbox. Cases will only be accepted in this way by the said due dates listed below. No assignments will be accepted via email or coursemail.

pp.507-517
pp. 521-524
pp. 529-536

You will see a link for the questions download of the case. Your work should be generated in Microsoft Word and uploaded to the graduate drop box locations at the bottom of the lessons area of the course site. The work should center around a highly detailed and justified answer for each respective question posed. For example, you may read one case and a particular idea may stick out in your head as you go through it. You would write your answer to the case question focusing on your ideas and reinforcing your point of view (analysis) with outside materials, such as the Spiro Text, and / or other Academic Journals, etc.

I am not looking for ground-breaking totally new research (although if you have the time, hey, why not?) but, rather your thoughts and the practical implications of the information and the depth of your analysis. You may wish to look at the Sample Case Analysis listed above to have an idea of what is expected of your work.

I will grade your efforts on the following criteria:

Criteria
Total Possible Points
Definition of Criterion
Information integration, depth, and detail 60 Points Did you make your points? Did you justify your statements with outside research or the text? Did you cover the questions asked in detail and depth?
Analysis 20 Were all questions answered in detail?
Conclusion of work 10 Concluding, practical remarks, and summary.
Format 10 Did you follow the appropriate stated format for submission, and or, is the work legible, conveying your ideas.
