It's my pleasure to welcome you to the Department of Agricultural Sciences. The department is committed to providing students outstanding training in teaching, research, and service areas related to Agriculture to prepare them for success in the market place after graduation.

Students can develop their academic interests while pursuing degrees in Agribusiness, Agricultural Business and Economics, Agriculture (Teacher Certification and non-certification options), Agricultural Media and Communication, Animal Science, Equine Industry and Business, and Plant, Soil, and Environmental Science, and a pre-professional program in Pre-Veterinary Medicine. You can also participate in various, valuable co- and extra-curricular activities where they gain invaluable experience, and leadership and professional skill development. These activities include the competitive teams (Equestrian, Horse, Land, Meats, Linnaean, Soils, and Quiz Bowl) and/or departmental student organizations (Agricultural Ambassadors, Alpha Zeta, Agribusiness, Block & Bridle, Collegiate FFA, Farm and Ranch, Horsemen’s Association, and Pre-Vet).
