If you have used a link and come back to that page, then the link will be underlined and gray. Either way, when you come to an underlined word or phrase and you want to go to it, just click on it. Note that you will need to click on your back arrow located at the top left part of the menu bar of your internet window to get back to where you were in our website before you clicked on the link.

Learning Objectives

The Learning Objectives is where you will find a list of all the specific topics that are covered on that page.

Introduction

The Introduction will give you a synopsis of what you will find in the tutorial. It also includes a math comic to add a little humor to your visit.

Tutorial

The Tutorial section contains definitions, formulas, illustrations and step-by-step examples of the topics covered in that tutorial.

Practice Problems

The Practice Problems give you problems that you can work on and provides links to the answers to those problems.

Need Extra Help On These Topics?

The Need Extra Help On These Topics section gives links to other websites that can help you with the topics that were covered on that page. It also reminds you of other ways that you can get help.

Practice Tests

You may have noticed on the Intermediate Algebra Homepage that there are several practice tests at this site. Each practice test goes with a group of tutorials. It gives you a chance to check to make sure that you understand the material covered in those tutorials. At the end of each practice test you will find a link to its answer key.
