The Department of Communication is accredited by the American Communication Association. As seniors, students create a portfolio showcasing the projects and research completed during their time at WTAMU. Students learn from experience as they manage the campus radio station (KWTS), serve as staff for the student-led public relations firm (1910 PR), host the Live Lounge (a live music performance venue), and compete in state and national competitions, including the Texas Intercollegiate Press Association, National Student Advertising Competition, and Bateman Case Study Competition.
