I was in the Branding Iron Theatre for the six groups that performed there. First up was the junior high school varsity band. Their directors this week were Mr. Jordan Freeman, Nimitz Middle School, Odessa, and Mr. Michael Roberts, Forestwood Middle School, Flower Mound, TX.
Then the junior high school concert band performed. Mr. Michael Dixon, College Station High School, and Mr. Greg Montgomery, College Station Middle School, directed this band.
[This one is a little blurry. I was trying to draw really fast.]
Mr. Trey Burns, Permian High School, Odessa, and Mrs. Annette Mitchell, Sherman Middle School, Sherman, TX, were the conductors of the junior high school symphonic band.
The high school white band performed at 12:15pm. Mr. Robert Hinds, Amarillo High School, and Mrs. Alisha Granados, Caprock High School, Amarillo, were the conductors this week.
Next was the Philharmonic Orchestra. Mrs. Alejandra Attebury, Amarillo, conducted this ensemble. She was assisted by Dr. Gotz, violin; Ms. Aheda, viola; Mrs. Lopez, cello; and Dr. Scales, double bass.
[Modern art entitled "My Bad."]
And the final band was the high school maroon band. Mr. Jeff Whitaker, Permian High School, Odessa, and Mr. Eric Rath, Canyon High School, Canyon, were the conductors.
[My double vision problem returned momentarily!]
And that's where I ran out of film. See you next year.
And just when you thought it was over, it ain't. Dr. Teweleit sent some more photos. Dr. Garner adressing the audience at the Friday director's band concert.
This was the warm-up on Saturday for the Philharmonic Orchestra.
The Symphony Orchestra performance on Saturday.
I'm fairly certain that this is the high school honor band.
High School Honor Band.

Now it's over. See you next year.
