We'll start today with first period classes. We're in the Activity Center ballroom with the junior high school concert band with Mr. Dixon and Mr. Montgomery.

Next door in the mirror room is the junior varsity band. Mr. Freeman and Mr. Roberts are their directors.

The junior high honor band flutes are with Mrs. Seale in Centennial, one of the residence halls.

Ms. Frazier works with the junior symphonic flutes.

Junior concert band percussion rehearses in Founders Hall, the boys residence. Mrs. Freeman is their instructor.

There are four sites in Founders that we are using this year. Here are the junior concert band tubas and euphoniums. Mr. De La Garza leads them.

Second period. We're in Northen Hall, closer to home in the camp office. Apparently Caitlan has the camera turned the wrong way.

Third hour. Camerman ventured into the Fine Arts Complex and discovered the high school honor band horns. Mrs. Casso is their leader.

Did you have a good lunch? This is the high school rhythmic reading class.

Across the hall is the junior high school rhythmic reading.

The brass choir is rehearsing in the Branding Iron Theatre. These are the top players at camp.

Mrs. DuBois conducts the high school clarinet ensemble. There are so many of them that they won't all fit in one picture.

Mr. Prieto directs thesecond high school trombone ensemble.

Mr. Swails has the top junior high clarinet ensemble.

The drum major class meets in the lobby of the Fine Arts Complex.

The high school horn ensemble meets in the F-Studio Theatre.

At 3 pm there is an assembly. It's also the fourth time that we check attendance. High school students are lining up at Northen Rectial Hall.

The junior high students have their assembly in Legacy Hall.

Meanwhile, back at the high school assembly, the game was with pool sticks and balloons. The object was to keep a balloon aloft as long as possible and the stick could also be used to knock away the balloon of your opponent.

At 3:30, the camp faculty meet in "Directors Band." Dr. Gary Garner is the conductor. The group will perform for campers on Friday.

Tuesday at the 7 pm assembly was the guest artist recital. Dr. Johnson opened the program with an arrangement that he abridged by Asford, Variations on America.

Dr. James Barger is our guest artist this summer. We thank Tarpley Music Company for sponsoring Dr. Barger's residency. Dr. Rushing accompanied him.

The program included Nina Shekhar, Careful Shouts; Takashi Yoshimatsu, Fuzzy Bird Sonata, I. Run, bird; Barry Cockcroft, Ku Ku; Andy Scott, Three Letter Word; and Steven Banks, As I Am. What an incredible performance!!!
