Alpha Chi
Know the truth, and the truth shall set you free

Alpha Chi, a coeducational society whose purpose is to honor academic excellence and exemplary character among college and university undergraduates, derives it name from the initial letters of the Greek words TRUTH and CHARACTER. Alpha Chi invites students from all academic disciplines who are in the top 10 percent of the Junior and Senior classes, making Alpha Chi  the most academically rigorous honor society at West Texas A&M University.  Scholarships, conference participation, and publication opportunities are just some of the benefits of membership.

At the 2005 Alpha Chi National Convention in St. Louis, the Texas Zeta chapter at WTAMU was recognized as a Star Chapter
