I defended my doctoral dissertation Summer of 2001, in theDepartment of English at University of Oregon; I am now working to transform it into a book. I am currently working as an Assistant Professor here at WTAMU, where I teach a range of courses including American Literature, World Literature, and Composition courses.

My primary areas of interest are Literature of the American West, Ecocriticism, and Native American Literatures.
