Career EXPO Week

Although it's going to look different this year from years' past, this is THE general job fair for fall at West Texas A&M University. Since we are not meeting all together at the FUBC as usual, we are spreading the fair out over three days this fall, use the links below to find out more about each day.

HOW WILL THIS WORK?
In order to connect with employers online you will register for either a 10-minute one-on-one session OR for a 30 minute info session with each employer of interest to you. We encourage you to register for the event and for individual and group sessions as early as possible. You will log into Handshake to connect.

WHAT EMPLOYERS WILL BE HERE EACH DAY?
Each employer can choose the day that works best for their organization. Check out the list of employers (below and in Handshake) who are registered to attend each session and what opportunities they have to offer. You are encouraged to register and connect with employers each day of the 3 day event.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
Whether you graduate this year or are just beginning your college program ... you can benefit from attending this fair.

  • Graduating within a year? The Career EXPO is the perfect opportunity to meet and network with employers who may be interested in hiring you for full-time professional employment.
  • Looking for experience in your field? Many employers at the EXPO will be interested in visiting about internships or part-time jobs with their organizations.
  • Not really looking for employment right now? Come anyway! Employers will have presentations you can register for to learn more about their organizations and industries as well as the world of work.

Be sure to test your technology before the fair and plan to use Google Chrome in a browser to connect that day - it just works best! Check out the links below for tips from our staff as well as from Handshake to help you make the most of the fair. We are excited to work with you in this new format - so keep an eye on events in Handshake for more information.
