Flight Information

If you are flying in to attend orientation, you can coordinate your transportation by visiting the Rick Husband International Airport website for available rental car and taxi services. Additional public transportation options include Uber. Keep in mind when making flight arrangements the WTAMU campus is roughly 30 minutes from the Rick Husband International Airport. All travel accommodations will be at the student's expense.

If you have questions about how to get to campus or where to go on campus, contact The Office of Student Engagement and Leadership at 806-651-2313, or view the campus map.

Student Lodging

Students attending New Student Orientation will have the opportunity to experience residence hall life by staying on campus. Students who plan to stay in on-campus housing for NSO will need to bring bedding or a sleeping bag and pillow, towel, and other necessities.  Student Lodging is included in your NSO fee.  We are not able to provide student lodging during the August 17-18 NSO.  However, we will arrange for you to move-in early to your Fall room assignment.

Family Lodging Options

Guest housing is available in Buff Hall for our family members that choose to attend NSO for a small fee.  Please visit our NSO Family Page, under Family Lodging Options, for details. There are also many lodging options in the Canyon/Amarillo Area.  Family Lodging on campus is not available for the August 17-18 NSO.
