University’s Media Minds Wins 10 Telly Awards

CANYON, Texas—Media Minds at West Texas A&M University has won 10 Bronze awards across five categories at the 39th annual Telly Awards. These industry awards are judged by industry leaders and recognize excellence in video production in the multi-screen era. Winners represent the best work of the most respected advertising agencies, production companies, television and cable companies and corporate video departments in the world.

"Media Minds at WTAMU is pushing the boundaries for video and television innovation and creativity at a time when the industry is rapidly changing" Sabrina Dridje, managing director of the Telly Awards, said.

The 10 awards earned by Media Minds in the 2018 competition were divided among seven different videos. A selection of the group’s award-winning videos can be viewed in a playlist on the West Texas A&M Engler College of Business YouTube page, https://goo.gl/zw3NV7.

"For our students’ work to be recognized by industry leaders in this way highlights both the dedication of our students and the caliber of their education here in the WTAMU Paul and Virginia Engler College of Business," Dr. Heidi Huntington, assistant professor of business communication and faculty co-adviser for Media Minds, said. "It is truly an honor."
