‘It Happened Here’ Documentary and Forum Planned at WTAMU

CANYON, Texas—The West Texas A&M University Police Department, in conjunction with the WTAMU Social Work Club, the Texas Department of Family Support Services, the Department of Political Science and Criminal Justice and the University’s Title IX office, will observe Sexual Assault Awareness Month with a 7:30 p.m. showing of the award-winning documentary film, It Happened Here, on Wednesday, April 6 in the Jack B. Kelley Student Center, Legacy Hall.

A special panel will convene after the documentary presentation for a question and answer session. The panel will be comprised of representatives from all of the sponsors of the program for an informative and contemporary discussion to raise awareness about sexual assault. The discussion also will provide students and community members information about the University processes, services offered and the many proactive programs in place and available to the University community.

Everyone in the University is encouraged to attend this meaningful and informative presentation. Buffalo cookies, tea and water will be served.
