Frequently Asked Questions

Every year, WT hosts a faculty and staff campaign. This worthy effort supports a broad variety of initiatives. This 2021 Faculty and Staff Campaign comes during a time of change, creating a new opportunity. Our opportunity for this year? We are seeking 100% participation in the 2021 I AM WT Campaign.

All full-time, part-time, and adjunct employees are encouraged to participate. Additionally, if you are a WT graduate, your gift to the campaign will also impact the University’s alumni participation rate, which is reported to U.S. News & World Report.

There are several ways. By far the most popular option is payroll deduction. A modest monthly contribution can, over several years, multiply into a sizeable gift. If you prefer, you can also make a one-time gift.

The goal of the Faculty and Staff Campaign is participation. It’s not about the size of the gift. It’s about the participation rate, and we truly hope we can achieve 100 percent participation. Faculty and staff participation is measured by the number of current full-time faculty and staff donors divided by the total number of current full-time and permanent part-time faculty and staff.

Yes, there is a $5 minimum for all gifts including cash, check, credit card and payroll deduction gifts (by pay period).

Whether you make a gift to support endowments to recruit and retain outstanding faculty, invest in the University’s research, or provide scholarships to ensure deserving students can follow their dreams, you are helping to transform the future of our WT.
In fact, all gifts to the University from faculty, staff and retirees will count toward the campaign. So no matter where you direct your contribution, you impact WT. A complete list of giving options can be found on the I AM WT form.

Absolutely. Many people make gifts to WT in memory of a loved one, in honor of a trusted colleague, or in appreciation of a beloved faculty member for the exceptional education they provided.

Yes! All gifts to WT through the Faculty & Staff Campaign are tax deductible to the extent allowable by law.

If you start a new payroll deduction or change a current payroll deduction, the new deduction will begin as HR uploads these changes. (Payroll deduction can take up to 3 weeks to start, based on when the form is received.)

Gift amounts are always confidential and will never be shared with anyone.
You have the option to have your gift recognized/publicized by name only, or you can choose to remain anonymous.
