What is I am WT?
I am WT is West Texas A&M University’s faculty and staff giving program, organized through the Office for Philanthropy and External Relations.

Why should I give I am WT?
Great universities all share several things in common, excellent programs, outstanding faculty, and generous philanthropic support. Donor gifts increasingly make up a larger portion of support for students, faculty, and the University's mission. WT faculty and staff invest their time and talent daily at WT. If WT is worthy of our best selves, should we not also invest in WT through giving?

I give to athletics, the WT Alumni Association, and I would like to join the President’s Circle. Am I part of I am WT?
Yes! On your pledge form, simply identify your areas of interest, levels of membership and/or giving. You can do a one-time gift or monthly payroll deduction. All your giving to WT can be accomplished at one time with the appropriate and specified designations.

Is my gift really needed?
Yes! Your I am WT gift will help us sustain the quality of programs offered and enable us to improve services and opportunities. Just as important, faculty and staff giving shows others that we believe supporting WTAMU is important. Every dollar counts and every dollar helps.

How can you ask me to give when times are tough?
If those of us who invest ourselves daily into the mission of WT is not worthy of our financial support, then why should others give to the University.

Can I direct my gift?
Yes! You can give to any area through I am WT. The pledge form has several gift designations listed, but you can designate on the form where you want your gift to go.  Give to what you are passionate about.

Where do I send my gift?
Gifts can be sent through campus mail to the WTAMU Office for Philanthropy and External Relations, attn.: Barbara Palmer.  You drop off your gift to Philanthropy Services, OM209 or we will come to you.

What is the annual fund?
The annual fund is a fundraising program that raises money for scholarships, programs, faculty improvement, memberships, and discretionary funds to be used in a variety of ways. Annual fund gifts help create a culture of giving back to the University through encouraging annual contributions.

Can I give to auxiliary units?
Yes! You choose where your donation goes. Athletics, Panhandle Plains Historical Museum, campus beautification, your Alumni Association dues - it all counts.

What are the sources of income for WT?
WT has four sources of income; tuition and fees, state appropriations, endowment earnings, and gifts. They only source of income that is not capped by external factors are philanthropic gifts. Donor gifts become more and more important for WT.

How does the I am WT program impact SECC (State Employee Charitable Campaign)?
The I am WT program raises funds specifically for WT. The SECC focuses on many charitable giving options external to WT. Employees are encouraged to give to WT through I am WT program and to give to other charitable organizations through SECC.

What about SSC (SSC Service Solutions/Compass Group USA)?
SSC employees are an integral part of the WTAMU family. SSC employees are included in the I am WT program. SSC employees are not able to use payroll deduction, but are able to designate their gift and can set up a bank draft for monthly contributions.
