BOOK VOUCHERS ARE NO LONGER ISSUED BY WTAMU - If you are a returning student accustomed to using Financial Aid credit balances via a book voucher to purchase your books, please read the paragraph below.  If you do not have a credit balance on your account, you may wish to request emergency book loan funds up to $600 maximum to purchase your books.

Financial Aid begins disbursing 10 days before classes begin for Fall, Spring, Summer 1 and Summer 2. As soon as aid posts, students may choose to use any credit balance created by financial aid to pay for their books.  The University Bookstore no longer carries textbooks in-store, but offers them via a portal powered by Barnes & Noble; all purchases should be made through their online portal.  You can view their tutorial on how to purchase books by viewing this video.

1098-T Help Form

Each January, West Texas A&M University issues each student billed for tuition and fees a 1098-T form. This form is accessible through Buff Advisor on the 1098-T link. We cannot offer tax advice regarding the 1098-T form, but we can can explain each box that is on the form. We strongly encourage all students and parents to refer to IRS Publication 970 for more detailed information on reading the 1098-T form.
