Professional Profile

Dr. Yang joined the College of Engineering in 2017. He received a B.S. in Aircraft Design and Engineering from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics in 2011, an M.S. in Applied Mathematics from University of Texas at Arlington in 2016 and a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from University of Texas at Arlington in 2017.

Teaching and Related Service

Dr. Yang teaches Calculus and Introduction to Numerical Analysis.

Dr. Yang is a member of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics and a member of the American Mathematical Society. He serves as a reviewer for several international journals.

Research and Creative Activity

Dr. Yang’s research interests are applications in numerical analysis, especially in computational fluid dynamics. His recent researches include direct numerical simulation for turbulent flow and large eddy simulation for shock/boundary-layer interaction.

Dr. Yang lives in Canyon with his wife Yiqi. He enjoys reading books and travelling with his family.
