Krause holds the Bachelor of Music degree in oboe performance, the Master of Music degree in theory and composition, and the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in oboe performance from University of Miami in Coral Gables, Fla. He is professor of oboe at West Texas A&M University and spends his summers teaching oboe at the Interlochen Arts Camp in Interlochen, Mich.
He has played principal oboe in the Hollywood Philharmonic, Northwest Louisiana and Roswell Symphonies, English horn in the Miami Philharmonic and Fort Lauderdale Symphony, and oboe in the Mostly Mozart Orchestra and Fort Meyers Symphony.
