Professional Profile
Dr. Manla joined the College of Engineering as an Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering in 2019. Prior to that, he worked at the University of New Haven as a Visiting Assistant Professor for three consecutive years where he taught a wide variety of courses in Electrical Engineering and Calculus. He received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the American University of Sharjah in 2007. He received his M.S. and Ph.D in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee in 2009 and 2015 respectively.
Teaching and Related Service
Dr. Manla teaches Digital Design Fundamentals, Electronics I, Electromechanical Systems, Power System Analysis, and Power Electronics.
Dr. Manla is the author of several IEEE Journal and Conference Publications.
Dr. Manla is a Senior IEEE member.
Research and Creative Activity
Dr. Manla's research insterests include Energy Storage System Testing and Modeling, Electric Drives, Automobile Electrification, Smart Grid, and Power Electronics.
