Professional Profile

Dr. Ramljak joined the West Texas A&M College of Engineering in 2019. He brings a unique combination of research, industry and teaching experience. He has over 9 years of experience as a Data Scientist, most recently working on NSF IUCRC projects with companies like HPE, Dell, Huawei, and others. He has more than 20 years of experience as a system administrator facilitating business and research in various universities and institutes in the USA, Portugal, and Serbia. He received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Belgrade in 1998, and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Temple University in 2018.

Dr. Ramljak also taught other computer science, systems control, mathematics, and electronics courses. He mentored graduate, undergraduate and high school students doing research in Computer Science. He has co-authored dozens of publications and has made numerous reviews for scientific journals and conferences.

Dr. Ramljak has been actively supporting student initiatives and initiatives to bring science closer to a wider audience.

Research and Creative Activity

Dr. Ramljak’s research interests include solving challenging storage systems problems related to provenance and caching by developing and integrating distributed and parallel data mining and statistical learning technology for an efficient knowledge discovery at large sequence and temporal databases.
