Welcome to the Office of Global Engagement (OGE), West Texas A&M University's gateway to the world!

OGE strives to create a globally-connected campus community that supports faculty, staff and students as they address the challenges and opportunities of the 21st century. We seek to bring the world to WTAMU and take WTAMU to the world in ways that engenders the development of global citizenship, scholarship, and human development. We partner with academic and non-academic units across the university in the drive to enhance the global content of our academic and non-academic programs, and in so doing promote a seamless international engagements in all disciplines. We strive to produce global leaders from all disciplines through our international studies programs that include faculty development, experiences abroad, and exchange programs. OGE fosters the growth of multidisciplinary and collaborative partnerships both within the university community and around the world.

International Experience in Shenzhen, China

WTAMU has launched a new international experience in Shenzhen, China.  Beginning in summer 2019, students can spend five weeks taking summer courses (equivalent to WTAMU courses) in one of the most interesting and vibrant cities in China.

All courses offered at WTAMU’s international experience in Shenzhen are equivalent to those offered on our campus in the United States.

The dates of West Texas A&M University’s summer international experience in Shenzhen, China are June 29 - July 31, 2020.
