Professional Profile

Mr. Thompson joined the West Texas A&M faculty in 2019.  He received a B.S. in Environmental Sciences from Abilene Christian University in 2010, and an M.S.S.W. in Social Work from West Texas A&M University in 2014. He has been a Licensed Master Social Worker since 2015.

Teaching and Related Service

Mr. Thompson teaches Macro Social Work, Human Behavior in the Social Environment II, Writing for the Social Sciences, and is the Field Liaison.

Mr. Thompson is a member of the Texas Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers.

Personal Sketch

Mr. Thompson spends most of his time outside of work with his wife, Monica, and two-year-old daughter Ella. He very active in the community serving adults with disabilities, alongside his parents, and their non-profit, The Hali Project.

Mr. Thompson dedicates his career of service to everyone in his family, but especially his sister with disabilities, Hali. Hali has always demonstrated what it means to face daily challenges with strength and love for others.
