Professional Profile

Holly Bellah joined the College of Education and Social Sciences in 2013. She received a B.A. in Social Work from West Texas A&M University in 2004, and an M.S. in Social Work from West Texas A&M University in 2012. 

Teaching and Related Service

Holly Bellah teaches Introduction to Social Work, Human Behavior and Personal Adjustment, and Social Welfare.

She enjoys teaching English as a Second Language to refugee and immigrant adults in Amarillo, as well as giving presentations on working with the refugee population to social workers and other human service workers.

Holly is also a Licensed Social Worker and serves as a faculty sponsor for the WTAMU "Finishers" group. 

Research and Creative Activity

Holly Bellah’s research interests include interventions with the refugee population. 

Personal Sketch

Holly Bellah was raised in Hong Kong and moved to Texas in 1993. Holly has lived in Canyon with her husband, Jon, and their two children, Taylor and Brooke, since 2001. She is a proud West Texas A&M University graduate and is now excited to be at WT as a faculty member teaching the subject she is passionate about Social Work. In addition to being a foster parent for a couple of years, Holly worked with foster youth and foster and adoptive parents as a Preparation for Adult Living Educator and Homescreener. She also worked as a School Social Worker in the Amarillo School District. Holly has also enjoyed teaching ESL and volunteering with the Amarillo Burundians Community Service since 2011. Holly loves to travel overseas with her family and is looking forward to being a part of the Study Abroad Program at WTAMU.
