Professional Profile

Dr. Poduthase joined the College of Education and Social Sciences in 2012. He received a B.A in Economics in 1996, an M.A. in Economics in 1998, and MSW in 2002: all from Mahatma Gandhi University Kerala, India. In 2012 he received his Ph.D. in Social Work from the University of Utah.

Teaching and Related Service

Dr.Poduthase is the Director of the Graduate Social Work Program and teaches Research and practice courses at the graduate level. He has authored several peer-reviewed (in international journals) research articles and book chapters. He serves as the editorial board member of an international journal and peer reviewer of four reputed international journals. He has presented papers in various international and national conferences. In addition to his Doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in social work (University of Utah, USA), he holds MA in economics and MSW. He has organized various seminars, conferences, and workshops nationally as well as internationally.

Research and Creative Activity 

His research interests extend from psycho-social challenges of children, adolescents, and families to refugees and social policies.
