Due to the great success of our first annual WTMUNC 2019 conference in February of last year, we are excited to announce the 2nd annual WTMUNC 2020 Conference, hosted by West Texas A&M University. Your students are invited to attend and take the role of real United Nations delegates, where they will learn about and debate issues related to international relations. This conference will place particular emphasis on international security, U.S. trade relations, and other issues of importance to the communities in the top 26 counties of the Texas Panhandle. Throughout the conference, students will learn parliamentary procedure, speech and debate skills, research skills, and increase their knowledge of foreign affairs while enjoying the benefits of visiting a university campus! Every high school in the Texas Panhandle (and elsewhere!) is invited to attend!

RSVP Information (Available NOW!)

RSVP at the link below by November 1st to confirm your participation. You will need to make an account on the "Joy of Tournaments" website to register and RSVP. This website will update in real time so you can keep track of your squad (students) and the size and composition of committees.

Please note that there is a limit of 4 delegates per committee. We STRONGLY encourage you to spread your students out across committees - this provides the best experience, as your students meet students from other schools!

Further note that the Friday practice committee has no limit or additional cost.

2020 Conference Schedule

Lunch will be provided for all attendees, including their advisors. All 9th through 12th graders are invited, with no limit on how large a delegation a school may bring.
