International Affairs Specialization

Are you interested in working or studying abroad? Does the idea of working as a Foreign Service Officer or working for an intelligence agency sound exciting? If so, the Political Science International Affairs specialization might be for you. Students who select this specialization will study diplomacy, international affairs, and world events from an academic perspective. Developing insight into the workings of the United Nations or examining international terrorism are just two examples of the knowledge international affairs students will gain.

The specialization focuses on developing broad skillsets, enhancing critical thinking, and providing exposure to the social sciences and international systems. Students have access to local and national internships, as well as the opportunity to assist with faculty research. The specialization also provides the flexibility to pursue other interests in political science, other fields, and even study abroad.

If you have an interest in declaring the international affairs specialization or wish to receive additional information, please contact Dr. Kal Demerew for assistance.
