Professional Profile
Dr. Macaulay joined the Political Science department at the College of Education and Social Sciences in 2017. He received his B.A. in Political Science and International Relations (with a minor in Spanish) from the University of California at Davis in 2011. He then received his Ph.D. from the University of North Texas in 2017.
Teaching and Related Service
Dr. Macaulay teaches American Government, International Relations, and Comparative Government. He has also taught Asian Politics, European Politics, and North American Politics. He is the faculty advisor for the West Texas Model United Nations club and encourages everyone to join.
Research and Creative Activity
Dr. Macaulay’s research interests include security studies in International Relations, especially territorial conflict and interstate conflict. He is also interested in ethnic conflict and conflict over natural resources, with an expanding research interest in civil wars and intrastate conflict.
