Professional Profile

Instructor Bissoni started as an adjunct faculty member in the spring of 2020 and joined full-time in the fall. She received her A.A.S. in criminal justice in 2015 from Amarillo College and her B.A. and M.A. in criminal justice from WTAMU in 2017 and 2019, respectively. Prior to coming to WT, she worked for the Randall County Sheriff’s Office.    

Teaching and Related Service

Instructor Bissoni's areas of focus in criminal justice are crime prevention and policy, violence against women, and contemporary policing. Specifically, she teaches Introduction to Law, Crime in America, Violence Against Women, Court Systems and Practices, and Social Research.

Research and Creative Activity

Instructor Bissoni's research interest includes crime and public health issues among vulnerable populations, crime prevention policies, and community justice strategies. 

She also participates as a liaison from the program with criminal justice agencies and is active in the community.
