Chili Cook-off Registration

Thursday, Sept. 21, 2017 (11:30 A.M. - 1 P.M.)
Vaughan Pedestrian Mall

To Bring:

Teams need to bring two "crock pots" (or equivalent amount of chili), extension cords as needed and items to decorate their table.  Trophies will be awarded for Best Table (Buffalo Spirit), "President’s Choice," the Judges’ Grand Champion, 2nd, & 3rd place, Best Chili Accompaniment, Best Faculty/Staff Chili, People’s Choice, and Best Community.

To Do:

By signing up, teams are agreeing to:

  • Set up tables and chili beginning at 10:00am on Thursday, Sept. 21st
  • Participate in judging at 11:30am
  • Provide samples of their chili to guests
  • Clean up table and area & fold and stack table after the Cook-Off
  • Safely prepare and handle competition food prior to and at the Chili Cook-off event.

SET-UP Information

COESS will provide:

  • 1 six-foot table
  • tasting cups
  • spoons

Teams will provide:

  • poster including your team name and chili name
  • an extension cord
  • a power strip if possible
  • 2 crock-pots of chili
  • table decorations
  • an accompaniment if you wish

(e.g. crackers, cornbread, be creative)

You can begin setting up at 10:00 am.  Tables must be set-up and ready for judging by 11:30 am.  You will be responsible for cleaning up your table & stacking tables and chairs.
