About the Program
Are you ready to step out of the high school classroom and into the fast-paced world of tech entrepreneurship? The Paul and Virginia Engler College of Business at West Texas A&M University invites you to the Future Founders Academy.
In this immersive, four-day program, you will team up with other driven students to design, build, and pitch an Artificial Intelligence (AI) product or service. Guided by WT faculty and college mentors, you will learn how to turn a great idea into a real business.

What You Will Do (Program Schedule)
Note: All daytime sessions include a complimentary lunch in the WT Dining Hall with college students and faculty.
- Session 1: Wednesday, Sept 23 (9:30 AM - 12:45 PM)
AI & Business Fundamentals: Participate in a hands-on lab using AI to write code and generate business concepts. Form your team and start brainstorming your product! - Session 2: Wednesday, Oct 21 (9:30 AM - 12:45 PM)
Market Validation & Campus Tour: Hit the WT campus to interview potential customers and get real-world feedback on your business idea. Plus, enjoy a guided tour of the university from the Engler Ambassadors. - Session 3: Monday, Nov 9 (9:30 AM - 12:45 PM)
Pitch Prep & Mentoring: Pitch your working idea to current WT business students for mentorship and feedback, then start building your final presentation board. -
Session 4: Wednesday, Nov 11 (6:00 PM - 8:00 PM)
The Final Pitch Competition: It’s time for a poster presentation! Present your AI business to faculty, family, and community guests. Interact with attendees, earn their votes, and compete for top prizes!

Who: This program is exclusively open to High School Juniors currently enrolled in local high schools.
