Professional Profile

Dr. Cross joined WTAMU as a PTI in 2011 and full time in fall of 2012. Dr. Cross received her B.S. in Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences from TTUHSC in Lubbock TX in 2003 and her Doctor of Audiology in 2007 from TTUHSC in Lubbock TX.  Dr. Cross was honored as The 2014 Distinguished Alumni for TTUHSC.  Dr. Cross currently serves as the Cleft Palate Team Audiologist and the Amarillo Area Special Olympic Team Audiologist.   

Teaching and Related Service

Dr. Cross teaches Introduction to Audiology, Evidence Based Practice and  Aural Rehab.

Dr. Cross serves on a committee for the graduate school, graduate admissions for the department and leadership team for the College of Nursing and Health Sciences.  

Personal Sketch

Dr. Cross met her husband, Stephen, while working in Abilene at West Texas Rehab Center.  He was stationed at Dyess Airforce Base.  They moved in Amarillo in 2010.  Dr. Cross was the lead audiologist for an Ear Nose and Throat Center, while Stephen completed his MBA.  Stephen is now the comptroller for Street Toyota.  They have two sons, Adam and Nathan, who are very active in baseball and basketball.
