The WT community is open for the spring 2022 semester. Campus status modifications will be at the direction of The State of Texas, The Texas A&M University System, and local health agencies. 

The University is closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation. Please continue to visit our COVID-19 webpage regularly for up-to-date information on testing, quarantining and vaccinations.

If you believe you have been exposed, email covid19@wtamu.edu for guidance on next steps. 

The following protocols are in effect for the spring semester to help ensure the safety of the WT community.

  • Standard cleaning protocols will continue across all campuses. Hand sanitizer and wipes are provided in campus facilities.
  • Contact tracing will continue to be conducted by WT. Please report if you have been exposed to someone who has COVID-19 or if you test positive for COVID-19 to covid19@wtamu.edu.
  • COVID-19 testing and vaccines are available for free to faculty, staff, and students through Student Medical Services.
  • Persons should feel free to wear face coverings.
  • COVID-19 close-contact and positive test isolation/quarantine protocols are different for persons who have and who have not received a COVID-19 vaccine. Please contact covid19@wtamu.edu for details.
  • Guenther Hall is designated as student isolation/quarantine housing. 

WT encourages you to be diligent in helping mitigate COVID-19 infections by using good personal hygiene, limiting your personal exposure, and by staying home and getting tested if you have any COVID-19 symptoms.

STUDENTS, you are encouraged to apply for WT Cares funding, which can be used to address financial hardship, including tuition and fees, housing and food, medical expenses, and lack of educational support and supplies, including technology.
