July 21, 2017
Here is Friday's schedule. In some cases the morning class is the warm-up. Some of the sites are different than what the students normally rehearse in.
The BIT is the Branding Iron Theatre, located on the east side of the Fine Arts Complex
NRH is Northen Recital Hall and it's on the northwest side of Mary Moody Northen Hall, where we did the registration.
F-Studio is a rehearsal room in the same building and very near the BIT.
N-1010 is the west addition to Mary Moody Northen Hall. It's the large band room.
F-227 is the choir room in the fine arts complex, second floor, north side of the building.
N-267 is in Northen Hall, second floor, north side of the building.
Let's get back to band camp. Here are some more pictures of the ensemble concerts. (I noticed that some are not in order. I accidentally dropped the photographs and they scattered all over the floor. When I scooped them up, I didn't check to make sure the story matched the image.)
I forgot to show you the posters that the bands made. Honor band didn't make one. They were too busy practicing. For the high school competition, white band was awarded first place; maroon, second; and concert, third. Junior symphonic band won first place; junior honor, second; and varsity, third. Both symphonic bands won the pizza party, but only by a narrow margin in both cases.
The junior high school banners.
The directors band performed at 3:30.
Tranquil scenes around campus.
I don't know what this is or how it got here, but one cannot change history.
OK. We've made it to the camp ball, so here are some memories for you!
It's concert time. We are in the Branding Iron Theatre for the junior high school bands. First is junior varsity. Mrs. Mitchell and Mr. Owens were the conductors.
Next was the junior concert band with Mr. Dixon and Mr. Freeman.
Junior symphonic band. Mr. Rath and Mr. Montgomery.
White band with Mr. Alfaro and Mr. Burns.
The last band in the BIT was the high school maroon band. The conductors were Mr. Rettig and Mr. Rivera.

Until next year. . . . . .
