The following pictures were from Tuesday's 3 pm high school assembly. See the balloons between knees?

More pictures from the faculty recital last night, thanks to Dr. Teweleit.

I visited first-period classes this morning. Ms. Rowley with her junior high school symphonic band oboes.

Mrs. Cooley with the junior high school honor band flutes.

Mr. Storey and the high school concert band clarinets.

Mr. Manfredi's high school symphonic band horns.

Ms. Eiben and the high school concert band flutes.

The high school band trombones. (Man, I butchered them. Sorry.)

Mrs. DuBois and the high school concert band bass clarinets. (See, they look fine even though one of them wanted to freshen up before I took the picture!)

I went over to the activities center to look for an absent commuter, so I took a picture.

At 1:45 pm I found myself again at the activities center. (How I got there I do not know.) This is the high school trombone choir. Dr. Morales is their direction.

Then I went to the conducting class.

Mr. Nuckols is the teacher.

The marching band was rehearsing outside (90+ degree temperatures) on artificial turf (add 20 degrees), so we moved that class inside to the all-purpose room of the activities center.

They were doing drum major teams in the fine arts complex.

Mr. Smith sent me a picture of the bassoon reedmaking class progress. In case you don't know anything about bassoon reeds, the students are not making much progress if this is their best effort. How do you know that this is not oboe reedmaking class? The hand does not have any cuts and there are no visible traces of blood or bandages.

At the 3 pm high school assembly the high school percussion III ensemble performed.

As did high school percussion ensemble II.

The game was individual toilet paper wrapping.

Honor band won because he was wrapped with the stuff. Concert band emptied the roll but there was nothing on him.

Each of the contestants was allowed to keep the toilet paper and they've got to make it last until the end of camp. They're the lucky ones. We've run out of toilet paper on campus.

Just kidding.

Mr. Reimund, who teaches the breathing class, found four of the students this morning who stopped breathing in a makeshift morgue he calls his classroom.

At 7 pm the high school percussion ensemble performed for the camp.

The high school brass ensemble followed.

There was an offstage ensemble for the final piece.

The Solstice Saxophone Quartet, a WTAMU ensemble, also played.

The guest artist was Dr. Bradley Garner. The Yamaha Corporation of America and Tarpley Music of Amarillo were sponsors of Dr. Garner's residency this week at camp. We're grateful for there support. Mr. Lefevre said that this is the tenth year of guest artists at camp. (I was at the wrong angle. There were other people taking pictures so I hope to have good ones tomorrow.)

That's it for me tonight.

But Thursday morning, I'm ready to go again. Here are some more pictures from Tuesday's 3 pm high school assembly thanks to Dr. Teweleit. This is the second high school percussion ensemble.

At 7 pm it was the first percussion ensemble.

And the brass choir.

The Solstice Saxophone Quartet.

Dr. Bradley Garner.

I'm done with Tuesday now.
