Mr. Reimund sent pictures of the high school concert band euphoniums and tubas from Wednesday. The next picture is of honor band.

I went around to Jarrett Hall for junior high school trumpets.

The young man in the red shirt apparently is using his peripheral vision.

Junior high school horns.

Junior high school euphoniums and tubas.

Junior high school saxophones. (I'll owe you another picture later.)

Junior high school trombones.

Mr. Swails works with the junior high school concert band bass clarinets. In the laundry room!

Mrs. Denny and the junior high school concert band flutes.

Mr. Sanchez and the junior high school clarinets.

Now it's time for the 1:45 classes. This is the bassoon reedmaking class.

Mr. Connor and the junior high school horn ensemble.

Oboe reed making.

Angry oboe reed makers. It's probably not a good thing that they have knives. Where's airport security when you need them?

Meanwhile, Mr. Manfredi is rehearsing the brass choir. The top brass players audition for this select group.

At the 3 o'clock assembly, the junior high students played "The Human Knot." Nine students put their arms in the middle and they grab another person's hand. You can't pick the person standing next to you and your two hands cannot be blasped to another's two hands. When the game starts, the students twist, turn, etc. to regain a circle as if people were standing in a circle holding hands. Sorry. I don't play games, so ask someone else to explain it to you.

I wandered over to the high school assembly as it was being dismissed. Here are some streaming photos. Pretty exciting, eh?

It's 7 pm and we take attendance again. While they're doing that, I'll show you some other stuff in the activities center. There's a pool area with a lazy river, a slide, a baby pool, laps, and a patio. The university students use this area, but the community does also for birthday parties, etc.

There is a large space for basketball and volleyball and there's a raised track for runners and walkers.

Students can check out equipment for racquetball and there are about eight courts.

In the basement there's bowling. This costs, but the prices are very reasonable.

There are tables for cards or board games. Behind is a lounge with a wide-screen TV.

A rennovation to the building added a rockwall. Band camp doesn't use it because of age restrictions and liability issues.

There's also a room with fitness equipment. Again, there's an age restriction.

The activity crew has given me the attendance, so I'll go find four students who couldn't follow instructions and make their way to the check-in. See you tomorrow.
