Sunday Canyon - hoodoo, December 2004
Other than the color (faded from a 27 year old photograph), differences can be seen in the hoodoo eroded away (gravity and water are powerful forces), many of the Rocky Mountain junipers along the opposite face also were washed down the hill, and there is a dramatic increase in the amount of mesquite on the opposite upland.

These photos are taken from the Katarina Caves parking area, facing east. Notice the changes in the vegetation, slough (colluvial material), and shape of the small outcrop through time.
