Walk Cards, Process and Procedure 

Before each commencement ceremony begins, postcard sized cards are handed out to each graduate. The cards will have the graduate’s name on one side, and a brief survey about their future plans on the other. While waiting for the ceremony to begin, the graduates complete the survey. As the graduates walk across the stage, each one hands the card to the moderator who reads their name. After the ceremony, the moderator passes the cards to a university official who, in turn, gives them to the Office of Institutional Research where they are summarized.
