Tuition rates are based on the student's residency status. Estimates of cost for 6 hours for the summer sessions of 2008 are as follows:

Border State undergraduate students from the following states pay $30.00 per semester credit hour above the resident rate:

- Kansas
- New Mexico

Non–resident and International Students
- Students from other states, as well as international students, pay non–resident tuition ($331.00 per semester credit hour for the 2008–2009 academic year).
- Tuition and fee rates are set by the Texas Legislature and the Board of Regents, Texas A&M University System.
- The rates are subject to change as required by these entities.
