  • TOEFL score of 197 (Computer) or 71 (IBt)

  • IELTS score of 6.0 or greater

ESLI, English as a Second Language International is available on campus for students who do not meet the TOEFL or IELTS requirements.

 A waiver of the TOEFL/IELTS requirement can be requested by students who attend or have attended a school where the language of instruction is/was English. The student must submit an official letter from their high school administration verifying the language of instruction as English.


SAT/ACT Examinations

West Texas A&M University does not require an SAT or ACT of international applicants for the purpose of admission review.  However,  an SAT or ACT is required for international applicants interested in competing for scholarship awards.  

Scholarship Awards for International Students

West Texas A&M University offers numerous academic scholarships to qualified first-time, incoming freshmen who submit admission and scholarship applications by December 1 (for early action consideration of our most prestigious awards) or Feb. 1 (priority date).
