Where do I list Academic Awards, Honors and Recognition?

We recommend including awards, honors, accolades in a section (typically at the bottom of the resume below education and experience) called "Honors and Activities" or something similar.

Include the name of the organization and any leadership role you may have held. Most of the time, it is not necessary to list dates, but that is up to you. If you were named the Accounting Student of the Year, it probably makes sense to include the year. But if you were on the Dean's List four semesters and the President's List twice, adding that many dates/semesters would just be visual clutter. Make sure that the section is easy to read and that each line included adds new information and value to you as a candidate for the job to which you are applying.
