Career Services provides a centralized approach for student employment on our campus. This serves to eliminate confusion, speed up the advertising and hiring process, and ensure equal access to work opportunities for all students.
In addition, many of the laws impacting hiring decisions for regular, full-time employees also apply to the student employment process. The selection of student workers should be made without regard to race, religion, color, sex, national origin, age or disability.
The Supervisors' Handbook is designed to assist WTAMU departments with all aspects of hiring student employees - and helps ensure compliance with University policy and federal law. We have arranged the handbook according to commonly asked questions. All student employment forms and reference lists can be found here as well as in the BuffJobs Resource Library under "On-Campus Employment Resources for Students & Staff/Faculty."
PLEASE NOTE: All departments must go through Career Services when hiring student workers. Career Services is located in the Classroom Center, Suite 113. If we can assist you in any way, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call (806) 651-2397.
