WTAMU Job Fair Information

Do you need maximum exposure of your business with minimum resources invested? WTAMU’s job fairs can provide you the visibility you are looking for. Ten times a year we host career fairs and EXPOs targeting students from freshman to alumni.

Summer Camp Fair - Thursday, January 28, 2010. Job fair for Camps interested in recruiting WTAMU students to work in their summer camps. Held iin the Jack B. Kelley Student Center. 

Spring Career EXPO -  Thursday, February 4, 2010 - Job fair for businesses interested in recruiting for any position other than school teaching positions. Full time post-graduation or internships - students will attend this fair seeking both types of professional opportunities. Click here for details and to register.

Spring Health Careers Fair - Thursday, February 25, 2010. Job fair for organizations and agencies interested in recruiting for BSN/MSN level nurses as well as Speech Language Pathologists. Click here for details and to register.

Spring Educator's EXPO - Wednesday, March 24, 2010. Job fair for public or private school systems who need teachers for the upcoming school year. This event is scheduled to be held in the spacious First United Bank Center - a wonderful facility on the east side of campus.  Click here for details and to register.

Summer/Part Time Job Fair - Wednesday, April 21, 2010. Job fair for employers interested in hiring full or part time summer or seasonal help as well as on-going part time jobs. This event is held in the Jack B. Kelley Student Center. Click here for details and to register.

Graduate & Professional Schools Fair - Monday, September 28, 2009. Designed to assist universities interested in promoting their graduate and professional programs to WTAMU students.

Fall Career EXPO - Thursday, October 1, 2009. General job fair for businesses interested in recruiting for any position. Full time and internships, opportunities - students will attend this fair seeking all types of positions as well as information about your organization. Scheduled in the VHAC Ballroom.

Meet the Accounting Firms - Thursday, October 22, 2009. Targeted networking event for accounting majors and invited accounting firms. Scheduled for the Panhandle Plains Historical Museum.

Fall Educator's EXPO - Thursday, November 5, 2009. Job fair for public or private school systems who need teachers. This event is scheduled to be held in the Virgil Henson Activity Center Ballroom (note the different venue from our Spring Educator's EXPO!). 

Fall Nursing Career Fair - Thursday, November 12, 2009. Job fair for organizations and agencies interested in recruiting for nursing positions.


Career Fair Policies

  • WTAMU Career Services (CS) adheres to the "Principles for Professional Conduct for Career Services & Employment Professionals" from the National Association of Colleges and Employers and strongly encourages organizations that recruit college students to join NACE and/or the Southern Association of Colleges and Employers.

  • WTAMU CS policies do not allow the following types of organizations to register for any Career EXPO or Fair: employment/entrepreneurial organizations which are based on "pyramid" or "multi-level" structures and/or organizations that require employees to purchase products/services contingent upon their employment with, or on behalf of, that company/individual

  • In cases of inclement weather, IF West Texas A&M University is open for business on the day of the EXPO/Fair, the event will be held. If the university is closed, the event will not occur.

  • If a catastrophic event (an act of terrorism, extreme weather conditions, or other similar circumstances) occurs and West Texas A&M University is closed, the EXPO/Fair will be cancelled and registration fees will be refunded.

  • Refunds will be processed (minus a $25 cancellation fee) if you notify WTAMU Career Services in writing more than 7 days before the event that you will be unable to participate. If you cancel within 7 days OR do not attend the EXPO/Fair for any reason, the full registration fee will be due.

  • WTAMU CS reserves the right to add or modify fair policies as needed.
