EMPLOYMENT FOR COLLEGE STUDENTS

Are quality, dedicated, part-time employees hard to find these days? Not if you are using WTAMU's Student Employment Services (SES). Perhaps your company has a part-time, summer, seasonal, or temporary job vacancy to fill.  SES offers a full range of services to prospective employers to assist your company in meeting its employment needs.

You can post a job with SES by phone 806.651.2397, using the Online Form. or E-mail: part-timejobs@mail.wtamu.edu . Services are free of charge to both employer and applicant.  SES offers easy access to qualified part-time employees.

Should you call or e-mail your vacancy, please include the following information:

  • Company Name
  • Phone and fax numbers
  • Mailing address
  • Contact Person
  • Best method of contact (phone, in person, resume)
  • Hours needed (how many per week, shifts?)
  • Pay rate (hourly, commission)
  • Brief job description
  • Special skills needed (typing, spelling, or ten-key requirements)
  • Start date/End date (on-going or just school year/summer)

Additionally, if you want to interview students here on the WTAMU campus, we can take care of marketing your opportunity, setting up the interview schedule, and reserving rooms for the interviews.

Student Employment Service enters your job information into a database and posts the vacancy on a job board and via the Internet for approximately three weeks. Interested students contact you directly. You can stop the flow of applicants at any time by contacting us by phone 806.651.2397 or E-mail. We will remove your job from the view of WTAMU students.

Student Employment Service does not post jobs that require an upfront investment of dollars by our students.

West Texas A&M University's Student Employment Services resources are provided free of charge to employers and to student job seekers. All hiring and compensation for work performed by student employees is handled directly between the student and the employer. The Student Employment Services Office does not perform background checks on students applying for jobs, nor on employers posting job opportunities. Employers and students are encouraged to request reference information from each other as needed to establish qualifications, credentials and overall fit between the employer and the student applicant.

All job listings are posted at the discretion of the Student Employment Services Office. We will not post jobs that appear to discriminate against applicants on the basis of race, color, religion, creed, age, national origin, disabled or Vietnam Era veteran status, disability, or gender. The Student Employment Services Office also reserves the right to refuse to post jobs that do not support the interests of the University.

West Texas A&M University's Student Employment Services Office provides a referral service and makes no particular recommendations regarding employers. We make no representations or guarantees about positions posted by this office. We are not responsible for safety, wages, working conditions, or any other aspect of off-campus employment. Students are urged to perform due diligence in researching employers when applying for or accepting private off-campus employment.

WTAMU is an equal opportunity employer and will consider all applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, disability or national origin.
