General Fair Information:

The Spring Career EXPO allows employers from a wide range of industries to promote their opportunities and meet face-to-face with WTAMU students from a variety of backgrounds and majors. This general job and career fair attracts students of all classifications who are seeking employment as well as information about organizations. Thus the CAREER EXPO will provide you with an opportunity to get acquainted with many WTAMU students who will soon be entering the job market or seeking internships both part-time and full-time summer opportunities.

In addition, undergraduate students from West Texas A&M University are encouraged to attend in order to research careers and to establish early contacts with businesses. We feel that this is a mutually beneficial contact for both the company and the student and are pleased to offer this opportunity.

This event will allow WTAMU students a chance to learn more about your organization, your personnel needs, and the career paths you offer. Our faculty will be available for Employer/Faculty networking throughout the day.

 


Reception Details:

This year we will again host a networking reception the evening prior to the EXPO to bring together employers, faculty, and involved students. The reception is free to all company representatives! Sponsorships are available.

DATE: Wednesday, February 22, 2017

LOCATION: JBK Student Center -  Legacy Hall

TIME: 6:00 - 8:30 PM if your organization is a Maroon Sponsor OR 7:15 - 8:30 PM if your organization is not a Maroon Sponsor.

Be sure to RSVP as you register letting us know how many of your recruiters will be able to attend, so we will have an accurate food count.

Fees & Cancellation Policy:

REGISTER ASAP FOR BEST AVAILABILITY - we will be using other rooms for overflow (or may segment out by academic majors targeted.) Please contact Kim Muller if you have any questions about this.

Registration fee is $150 per organization before 2/10/2017  ($200 on or after 2/10/2017) and includes a 6' table and 2 chairs in the exhibit area and lunch for two recruiters.

Additional recruiters, after the first 2, are $10 per person. Note that WTAMU does not provide tablecloths/covers or drapes of any kind, nor can we provide extension cords or power strips, etc. Venue policies prohibit the use of helium balloons. Please see the complete use policy here.

CANCELLATIONS RECEIVED ON OR BEFORE January 20 will be refunded in full. CANCELLATIONS RECEIVED after January 20 and before February 10 will be refunded less a $50 administrative fee. Sorry, cancellations made on or after 2/10/2017 will not be refunded. All cancellations must be received in writing.  Read our complete career fair policy here.
