General Fair Information: EDUCATOR'S EXPO will provide you with an opportunity to get acquainted with a large pool of teacher candidates who will soon be entering the job market or seeking internships as well as WTAMU alumni and others who are looking for a career move. Our Educator's EXPO allows WTAMU students and alumni a chance to learn more about your school system, your personnel needs, and the career paths you offer. Our faculty will be available for Employer/Faculty networking throughout the day.
WEST TEXAS A&M UNIVERSITY STUDENT TEACHERS
ARE GIVEN THE DAY OFF IN ORDER TO ATTEND THE JOB FAIR
We will begin at 9:00 AM and be 'open to the public' until 12:00 PM. Space will then be available for use through the afternoon to conduct one on one interviews with promising candidates. PLEASE NOTIFY US IF YOU PLAN TO STAY AND INTERVIEW so we can make room arrangements.
We encourage our undergraduate education majors from West Texas A&M University to attend the EXPO in order to network, find out more about the world of education and to help them make occupational choices. We feel that this is a mutually beneficial contact for both the school district and the student and are pleased to offer this opportunity.

Pre-Fair Networking Reception!
Together with the College of Education and Social Sciences, we are planning an event for the Tuesday evening before the EXPO
to bring together school district recruiters with our current class of student teachers as well as those in our alternative certification programs who will be able to teach this fall. Take this opportunity to get a sneak peek look at these exceptional teacher candidates!
LOCATION: JBK Legacy Hall - NEW LOCATION!!! TIME: 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Be sure to RSVP as you register letting us know how many of your recruiters will be able to attend, so we will have an accurate food count. The reception is free to all district representatives thanks to our generous sponsor, the Education Credit Union. Note that we've adapted the reception format so that each district will have the opportunity to visit with small groups of students in a round robin format. During this round-robin portion of the evening, you'll be asked to share some words of wisdom for these soon-to-be first year teachers as well as share information specific to applying to or working in your district. It is a wonderful opportunity to speak to each upcoming teacher directly. If you haven't already done so, I encourage you to watch the video at the top of this page... it will give you a feel for how this evening works.
Fees & Cancellation Policy: Register by March 12, 2013 for best availability AND to qualify for the early bird pricing!
Registration fee is $75 on or before 3/12 and $85 after 3/12 per organization and includes a 6 ' table and 2 chairs and breakfast for one recruiter. Additional recruiters are $10 per person. Note that WTAMU does not provide tablecloths/covers or drapes of any kind, nor can we provide extension cords or power strips, etc.
